Yao Ming will travel to Africa for the first time to come face-to-face with some of the world’s most majestic species – the elephant and the rhino.  Yao is seeking to better understand what’s happening to these species as a result of Asian demand for ivory and rhino horn.  You are invited to join Yao on this journey.

Kudos to you Yao forspear-heading such a necessary and wonderful cause. By saving the animals we save ourselves from the scorn and damnnation of future grnerations. I hope you will one day be rewarded for you efforts:

If you get to St. Pete’s gate – He won’t be there

Dogs, cats, a horse, a deer, a rino and a whale
will be waiting, reviewing your records

They make all the decisions there
    They know what love is

They can sense the ittiest-bit of it

You better have had more than a tad of it
and have used it often, or… you will be…

Thank you so much for using your fame to bring awareness to Asian countries as well as to the world about the important and underreported plight of these beautiful and threatened creatures. If the horrific demand for their parts can be lessened at all through awareness campaigns like yours, that will help greatly. Thank you! Laura

This is a very good thing that you are doing, and something that you can really build on to make a difference. After your success with bringing attention to the plight of animals killed for ivory, I would love to see you work to also bring increased visibility within China to the problems in India, Indonesia and other countries where species are being destroyed for their body parts to be used in Chinese medicines.
